LOTTERY
During 1999 Graham joined Camelot as Senior Project Manager for the re-launch of the National Lottery. The project commanded an initial budget of £16million and included the installation of over 27,000 displays. The project successfully culminated with a compliance of 99.3% and confirmed savings in excess of £4million under budget. This is without doubt the largest 'Point of Sale' roll-out ever undertaken in the UK and the systems and processes developed are still used by Camelot today.
"Dear Graham
With regard to the recent industry based Design Awards wanted to let you know personally that I am so pleased that you have had such a lot of success including ‘Display of the Year’. Very well done. You have done a great job for us and long may that continue."

Graham integrated into the team from a very early stage in order to provide the necessary technical expertise to keep our creative concepts in budget and on time. His diligence in shaving costs but keeping the concept true to the original, is a considerable reason why this massive project has been the success it is. When all around us things were massively complex and under huge scrutiny Graham kept his head and provided us with the solutions to achieve our goal in time on budget and true to its objectives."

"Graham Atherton has been a pleasure to work with during Camelot's PPOS program for 30,000 of our retailers. Despite stringent budget and time constraints, he has always proved to be more than equal to his role of Senior Consultant and is more than willing to go beyond the call of duty where necessary. Both personable and focused, I would confidently recommend Graham to any business with a complex PPOS project."
Mitch Griver: Finance Director, Camelot Group
"Glad to hear that all is going well, only another 19,000 or so to go! I have seen the new signage and A frame signs and it all looks fabulous "in the flesh" as it were. It is a pleasure to provide you with a "reference", so rare to let one's creative juices flow in such a glowing manner!
This major Camelot project affecting 25,000 retail outlets, undertaken by Graham was conducted with a deeply commercial, professional and innovative approach. A very tight set of guidelines was established early on. The budgetary constraints drove Graham to value engineer the furniture unrelentingly. This was key to delivering six figure savings, making the project deliverable. To have Graham working alongside you is an asset that any company, organisation or team can only benefit from.
Hope that this is suitably glowing enough!? Seriously Graham you are indeed a star and please keep me up to speed wherever your future takes you.
In the mean time... keep those guys working hard."
